Stocking filler ideas for every budget

Stocking fillers are one of the best types of Christmas gifts. Small, unexpected items that are certain to put a smile on the recipients face. Shopping around for the perfect stocking fillers surprises can be difficult, with so much to choose from. Starting early and picking little bits and bobs up as you go along is often the best way to make sure you get all the best gifts in time for the big day.

With this in mind, I thought it would be fun to create a post with some stocking filler ideas for every budget. Who knows, it might come in handy if you're out of ideas or you simply want something different this Christmas.

Check the wishlist

I will start with something that can turn out to be quite simple. You can start early, so no one would suspect why you're asking, but you can find out exactly what your loved ones want and surprise them with it. Easy, peasy! Of course, in the end, they might not be as surprised as you thought they were, but it's important that they will enjoy their gift.

Personalized gifts

An alternative to shopping for that perfect gift that says everything you want to say is to make your own. Nothing will carry a stronger message than a present you have created as one-off especially for a particular person. You could create unique gifts such as calendars, mugs and wall art using your own photographs by going to websites such as Design Bundles

This site is like a little gem, if I may say so. It provides digital products such as Graphics, Templates, Mock Ups, Patterns, Illustrations and Craft Files. They have over 150 000 designs to choose from, so you know you'll find something to your liking.

For designing some cute little gifts for my family I took a look at their mockups and boy, I had plenty of choices. For my husband, I picked the All-In-One Wine Bottle Mockup because I bought a bottle one wine from the year we got married and I want to create a special etiquette using this mockup.

I didn't forget my little one, who loves fashion and for whom I chose the Kids T-Shirt Mock-Up. I really think she will love it, it was fun creating it, so yeah, I'm excited.

For my older daughter and for my girlfriends, I picked the 10 Mug mockup bundle, white & green. I don't know anybody that doesn't like mugs, so I'm pretty sure they will be happy with my design and final result. I'll even make one for me, I love it way too much not to have one.

Because it's Christmas, I thought that some lovely mockups with the Christmas theme would be more than welcome. I went for the Christmas Scene Creator in order to create a festive atmosphere on my blog and for the Christmas Holiday Mockup Scene Creator for the same reason.

Working with mockups is really fun and the final results are amazing, so you should really consider giving the mockups from Design Bundles a try.

Black Friday

Look out for this special date during your Christmas shopping. Friday 28th November will see the biggest and best online shops slash prices to give unparalleled discounts on all sorts of products. It would be really impossible not to find something special for your loved ones during that time.

Toiletries

No matter how naff buying toiletries may seem, they always come in handy and never go to waste. The way to get buying toiletries right is to avoid the bog-standard gift box sets and select individual items you know someone will love. From a luxury aftershave balm for the men in your life to a patchouli body scrub for the ladies, well-selected toiletries always impress, as long as you show you thought about the person in question before buying.

Bargain Breaks

An unusual and thoughtful gift for your other half and family would be a short break for all of you. Skip the post-Christmas blues by getting away from the winter cold and warming your bones in foreign climes.

These are a few stocking filler ideas that worked for me and my family and that I hope will work for you too. Don't forget that no matter what you decide to give, it has to come from the heart, that is all that matters. Happy holidays!
