5 WordPress Plugins for Adding Custom Fonts on Your WordPress Website

WordPress custom fonts
If you’re a blogger, whether it’s a full-time job or just a hobby, it’s easy to get fixated on the content that you are creating. After all, it is only through producing regular, engaging content that you will get visitors coming to your website regularly. However, the look of your blog is also hugely important. First impressions always count and this is certainly true when online.

The fonts you will choose for your WordPress website are as important as the overall aesthetics, so you need to be careful and pick the ones that go well with your design. In WordPress is quite easy to do that thanks to all the plugins available, so let's check them out.

Fontsy WordPress

This WordPress font plugin is very easy to use and it's completely free! You can select your favorite font from the wide fonts range available in the plugin's database. If you already have a favorite font, you also have the possibility to upload it into the plugin and add it to the collection of your favorite font. This is a feature that no other plugin's offer at the moment and it's something pretty cool if you come to think of it. With the Fontsy WordPress plugin, you can simply let your creativity flow because you have the ability to use distinct fonts for special elements on your website. It's pretty awesome, right?

WP Google Fonts

This plugin allows you to use the fonts offered by Google on your website. By using this plugin you also have the ability to assign the Google fonts to specific CSS elements of your website from within the WordPress admin. You have a wide range of fonts available but the only downside is that you can't actually see a preview of the fonts before your website goes live, so you have to be very sure about your pick.

Use Any Font

This is quite a suggestive name, isn't it? You can use any font you like without having to use a code. All the fonts will be stored on your own server, so you're not dependent on any third-party server’s uptime. The plugin has a free and a premium version. With the premium version, you will gain access to font conversions without limits.

Custom Fonts

This is a good plugin that is also quite easy to use but its only downside in my opinion is the fact that it works flawlessly only with certain themes. If you're not using the supported plugins and theme's then you have to write the custom CSS to apply the fonts and that can be quite challenging if you're a beginner.

Styleguide

Styleguide will style your WordPress theme’s fonts and colors in the live customize section. You are able to see a preview of how your website will look like but you don't have the ability to customize the style or color of the selected fonts. On a positive side, it is user friendly and you can use it even though you're not an expert in web design.
