Spending quality time with your family is very important and with the summer holiday just around the corner, it's a must to find some nice activities that all the family members will enjoy. I think it's safe to say, that the ones that are picky when it comes to summer activities are the children, so I will focus my attention mostly on them and try to give you some ideas that might help you entertain them during the holiday.
As parents, we have to take advantage of all the free time that we have and of the lovely summer weather and encourage our kids to spend as much time as they can in nature. You can rest assured that your kids will love it and this time spent together will boost their social development and their self-esteem. So, if you're still not very sure what you will do this summer, take a look at the list below and who knows, maybe you get inspired. Enjoy!
Go camping
Who doesn't love a camping trip? Well, I don't, but for kids, this trip is packed with lots of fun activities that will keep them busy and entertained for the whole time that they will be there. Even if you are not a big fan of going camping, think about how good it's for kids to spend time in nature and when you will look at them and see how happy they are, you'll know you did the right thing.
Organized sports tours
Let's face it, kids have a lot of energy and what better way to get rid of it, than not with lots of sport? When playing a sport, children have the opportunity to show their skills, gain greater self-awareness and enjoy an activity that they love the most and make new friends at the same time.
Stay safe
Always remember to pack plenty of water, a first aid kit (I keep one in my car boot, filled with all the essentials including wipes, sun cream, insect repellent, bite relief cream and plasters), and, if you’re travelling with a little one – particularly if they’re a bit of an adventure seeker - consider baby reins. These can be invaluable in keeping your toddler close without restricting their curiosity or need to explore. There's a great range of designs at mum-run UK brand ONK; their cool toddler walking reins come in leopard print, camouflage, floral and pirate prints. They also make matching phone lanyard straps – perfect for giving you hands-free freedom. Plus wearing your phone on a strap means no more mobiles – and all your holiday photos - down the toilet.
Family holiday
Go on a picnic
Ride in a hot air balloon
Whenever you have some free time, be sure to spend it with the most important people in your life. It is not all the time you get to have family time, so make it a point to maximize it and enjoy every minute. You all deserve to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life that is why you have to do some fun activities like the ones specified above. These will surely bring you pure bliss and make your family closer than ever.
