The long, dramatic walk down the aisle, the vows to love one another forever, the first kiss as husband and wife – weddings are made up of truly romantic and magical moments but let’s face it, they can be pretty difficult to organize, especially if you’re on a tight deadline.

I’m here to tell you, it doesn’t have to be that way and I’ll give you some tips to help you organize your dream wedding without too much stress (I could say no stress, but let’s be real) and who knows, maybe you’ll end up enjoying the whole process and of course, the final result! Ready? Let’s go!

Set up a budget

I think that’s the first step in planning your wedding, at least it should be. We all dream of having a fairy tale wedding, on a beach watching the sunset, but is that even achievable? I don’t want to burst your bubble, but it’s important to know your budget limits and plan everything wedding-related from there. In the end, you wouldn’t want to spend more than you can actually afford, right? So, take a look at the budget that you have available for this big event and try to plan something accordingly.

Choose a venue and accommodation

This is the hardest part in my opinion because you need to figure out first how many guests will attend your wedding and that can be quite tricky. There are so many options and that can also be overwhelming but try to stay calm. Take your time and search online for all the possible options, might be one of them.

If you have a lot of family and friends that come from far, you should also look into accommodations. If you can, it would be nice to book accommodation for the ladies and one for the men. That way you can also hold your hen and stag party there. Choosing the hen and stag do venues that are close to each other is so practical. This way, everything is set up for a good time, all you need to do is make sure you invite all your friends and the fun is guaranteed. Pretty interesting, right?

Time to pick your wedding dress

The wedding dress is a very important matter for a woman, I mean let’s face it, everyone will look at you when you go down the aisle and that’s why it’s very important to pick the perfect one. How will you know which dress is THE ONE? Well, I’m not an expert, but I would say that the dress that takes your breath away from the first fitting and the one that makes you feel like a queen is the one. Since you’re under a tight deadline, you might feel a pressure in finding the right dress, so stay calm, try to enjoy the process and have faith that you will find it, after all, there are so many options available, you’ve got to find yours too, right?

Take care of other details

Once you’ve set the date, take care of the venue, accommodation, and dress, it’s time to think of the other wedding details. For example, invitations. You can easily order these or, if you love to DIY, you can make them yourself to add that personal touch that people will love. It’s fun but it’s also time consuming, so you have to make sure you’re right on schedule.

The wedding cake is another highlight of the night that you want to get right. These days, there are so many opinions available when it comes to wedding cakes, it’s amazing! Choose the one that you like and that of course, goes well with the wedding theme.

Don’t Panic!

All of this work is incredibly stressful, and it can be very easy to get overwhelmed, but instead, focus on the end product, because you’ve taken this task on, for better or worse, and once you’re into it, you only have one way to go, forward. On the big day itself, you will take a look at the venue, your bridesmaids, and your partner, and realize it was all worth it. Don’t panic, breathe, and you will get through it.
